Web feeds

A web feed is a list of the new posts on a website or blog. When you follow a feed in Dushed, Dushed gets the new posts for you. Dushed supports RSS, Atom, and JSON Feed.

To add, edit, or import feeds, you need the Pro plan or the trial. On the Free plan, Dushed stops getting new posts. You can still read the posts that Dushed already has, and export or delete your feeds. See Pricing.

Add a feed

In the menu, open Feeds, then Add.
In Feed URL, enter the address of the feed.
If you want, open Comments and tags, and add comments or tags. You write comments in Markdown.
Select Add feed.

If you do not know the address of the feed, enter the address of the website. If the website links to a feed, Dushed uses that feed. If it links to more than one feed, Dushed uses one of them.

Dushed starts to get the feed immediately. The first posts can take a short time to appear.

Read feed items

In the menu, open Feeds, then List. The Feed items page shows posts from the last month, with the newest posts first. It shows up to two posts from each feed.

To open a post in a new tab, select its title.

To see more posts from one feed, select Manage feed next to one of its posts.

How Dushed updates feeds

Dushed checks your feeds about every three hours. The first time that Dushed gets a feed, it saves all the posts in the feed. After that, it saves only the new posts.

Edit or delete a feed

On the Feed items page, select Manage feed next to a post from the feed.
To change the feed address, comments, or tags, select Edit feed. Make your changes, then select Save changes.
To stop following the feed, select Delete feed. Type yes, then select Delete feed. You cannot undo this.

Import and export feeds

OPML is a file format that feed readers use to move lists of feeds. Most feed readers can export an OPML file.

In the menu, open Feeds, then Import / export.

To import, go to the OPML files field and choose one or more .opml files. Then select Import feeds. Together, the files must not be larger than 30 MB. Dushed skips the feeds that you already follow.
To export, select Export OPML. Dushed downloads feeds.opml.
