Notes
A note has a title and a body. You write both in Markdown. You can also add tags, references, and files to a note.
To add, edit, or import notes, you need the Pro plan or the trial. On the Free plan, you can still read, export, and delete your notes. See Pricing.
Add a note
- In the menu, open Notes, then Add.
- Type a title and a body. You can use Markdown in both.
- If you want, open Tags and references. There you can add tags, URL references, and files to upload in File references. Together, the files must not be larger than 30 MB.
- Select Save note. Dushed opens the new note.
Add an image to a note
You can show an uploaded image in the body of a note.
- In File references, choose the image, for example
africa-map.png. - In the body, write
. - Select Save note.
Put the image on a line of its own. Do not put it in a list, a quote, or a table, because Dushed does not show images in those places.
The image must be a file that you upload to Dushed. If the note has an image from another website, Dushed does not save the note and shows an error.
To use an image that you uploaded before, add its address in Dushed to URL references. Then use the name of the file in the image. See Images.
Add code to a note
Put the code between two lines of three backticks. After the first three backticks, write the name of the language. Dushed colours the code when it shows the note.
```python
print("hello")
```
Find and read a note
In the menu, open Notes, then List. The newest notes are at the top. To open a note, select its title.
The note details show when you created the note, when you last changed it, and its tags and references.
Edit or delete a note
- Open the note.
- To change it, select Edit. Make your changes, then select Save changes.
- To delete it, select Delete. Type
yes, then select Delete note. You cannot undo this.
When you delete a note, Dushed does not delete its files. You can delete them on the Files page.
Import and export notes
In the menu, open Notes, then Import / export.
- To export, select Export notes. Dushed downloads
notes.tar. This file contains all your notes and the files that they refer to. - To import, choose one or more
.tarfiles that you exported from Dushed, then select Import notes. Together, the files must not be larger than 30 MB.
Dushed skips a note if you already have a note with the same body. At this time, Dushed does not add the files in a .tar file to your library when you import it.
