Refund policy
This policy explains when you can get your money back for a paid dushed("Service") subscription, and how to ask for it. It applies alongside our Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy takes away rights that the law of your country gives you.
30 day money back guarantee
- If you are not happy with the Service, tell us within 30 days of a payment and we will refund that payment in full. You do not have to give a reason.
- The 30 days run from the date of the payment you want refunded, not from the date you created your account.
- This applies to your first payment and to each renewal payment.
Your legal rights
- If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Turkey or Israel, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days.
- If you live in South Korea, Brazil, Canada or China, you have an unconditional right to cancel within 7 days of delivery. In Singapore the period is 5 days from first access.
- These rights are in addition to the 30 day guarantee above. Where they differ, whichever is better for you applies.
Who you buy from
- Paddle is the merchant of record for every purchase of the Service. You buy the Service from Paddle, and Paddle licenses it to you on our behalf.
- This means that Paddle issues the refund, collects any sales tax or VAT, and appears on your card or bank statement.
- Paddle also has its own refund policy, available at https://www.paddle.com/legal/refund-policy
How to ask for a refund
- Email us at refund@dushed.com. Tell us the email address on your account and roughly when you paid. You do not need to tell us why.
- We reply to every email. We will confirm the refund with you and then ask Paddle to send the money back.
- You can also ask Paddle directly, using the receipt they emailed you when you paid.
- Please contact us before you ask your bank to reverse the charge. A refund is faster for you than a chargeback, and it costs us less.
How the money comes back
- Refunds go back to the payment method you paid with. If that is not possible, Paddle will agree another method with you.
- Refunds are usually sent within 14 days of being approved. How long the money takes to appear depends on your bank.
- We refund the full amount you paid, including tax. We do not deduct a fee.
What happens to your account
- When we refund a payment, the paid subscription that the payment covered ends.
- Your account stays open. You can still read, search and export everything you have added.
- You can export your flashcards, notes, bookmarks, highlights and feeds at any time, before or after a refund. We do not hold your content to ransom.
- We do not delete your content because of a refund. You can delete your account yourself whenever you want.
Cancelling instead of refunding
- You can cancel a subscription at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment.
- When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- After 30 days have passed, we do not normally refund the unused part of a period. If a renewal caught you by surprise, email us anyway. We would rather refund you than argue.
When we may say no
- We may refuse a refund if an account is being used to abuse this policy, for example by repeatedly subscribing and asking for a refund.
- We may refuse a refund where an account was suspended or terminated for breaking the Terms of Service.
- Neither of these overrides the legal rights described above.
Changes to this policy
- We may change this policy. If we do, the version that applies to you is the one that was published on the day you paid.
- Questions about this policy should be sent to info@dushed.com
